Roofing contractor in Brooklyn, NY

Brooklyn is about 51 miles west of our shop in Selden, and we make the drive for the right job. We hold a New York City home improvement license (2114459-DCA) alongside our Suffolk and Nassau licenses, and in October 2026 we tore off and replaced the roof on a three-story house on a tree-lined Brooklyn block. The photos on this page are from that job.

What we do in Brooklyn

Brooklyn is about 51 miles from Selden, so we group Brooklyn estimates and schedule them around the drive, usually within the week. The home pictured is one of ours in Brooklyn, finished in October 2026: two full stories over brick with three front dormers, a new GAF architectural shingle roof over new plywood decking, and the siding, the hedges and the front walk wrapped in tarps while the old roof came off. Repairs get the same free written estimate as a full replacement, and after storm damage we photograph everything and write a scope you can hand to your insurance adjuster. Every roof is installed to GAF's specification, which is what keeps the manufacturer's warranty valid. Our own crew does the work, and every call about your job goes straight to David, the owner. Directions from Brooklyn to our shop.

How the Brooklyn job went

A three-story house with three front dormers on a tree-lined block. Old roof off and a new plywood deck on in one day, new GAF shingles on before Halloween.

Three stories up, on a city block

A tall house on a narrow lot with cars parked along the curb. The crew staged from the street, ran the old roof down a conveyor into our truck, taped off the sidewalk under the work and hung tarps down the side of the house to the neighbor's fence so nothing landed next door.

Wrapped before the first shingle came off

Tarps over the clapboard, the brick, the windows and the hedges, plywood and tarps across the front walk and the lawn. The old roof came off in layers down to the deck so the crew could see what was under it.

New plywood, then the new roof

Under the old shingles was the house's original plank decking, which is not something to nail a 50-year roof to, so the roof got new plywood over it before the underlayment went down. Ice-and-water shield at the eaves and around the dormers and chimney, synthetic underlayment, then GAF architectural shingles in straight courses.

Licensed in New York City

We hold New York City Home Improvement Contractor license 2114459-DCA, as well as Suffolk County HI-64134 and Nassau County 196461. Same crew, same GAF Master Elite® warranties, in all three.

The same Brooklyn roof, Monday afternoon

October 26, 2026. The old roof came off that morning. By half past two the roof was new plywood, ready for underlayment and shingles.

Brooklyn roofing questions

Do you really work in Brooklyn?

Yes. We are licensed by New York City (Home Improvement Contractor license 2114459-DCA) as well as Suffolk and Nassau County, and the three-story house on this page is one of ours. Selden is about 51 miles away, so Brooklyn is best for full roof replacements and bigger projects rather than a small patch, and we group estimates so the drive is on us, not on your schedule.

How long did the Brooklyn roof take?

The crew hung tarps down the house and had the old roof off by mid-morning on Monday, October 26. By half past two the same day the roof had new plywood decking over the original planks. The shingles went on from there and the house was finished before Halloween, which is why it is wearing a pair of giant eyeballs in the finished photo.

How do you protect a house on a tight city lot?

Tarps go over the siding, the brick, the windows and the hedges, and plywood and tarps go over the front walk and the lawn. On a Brooklyn block the sidewalk and the neighbors matter too: the old roof goes down a conveyor straight into our truck, the sidewalk is taped off while the roof is coming down, and the lawn, the walk and the curb get a magnetic sweep for nails before we leave.

Do you do flat roofs in Brooklyn?

Yes. A lot of Brooklyn houses have flat or low-slope roofs, and we install and repair TPO, EPDM and modified bitumen as well as shingle roofs. Every job gets a free written estimate, and after storm damage we photograph everything and write a scope you can hand to your insurance adjuster.

Reviews from across Long Island

I had a fantastic experience with David who owns the company. They arrived right on time, quickly found the source of my roof leak, and explained the repair process clearly. The work was done efficiently at a fair price, and they left my yard completely clean of debris. Highly recommended!
We had a section of roof over our patio that was in need of repair, all the other companies we asked said they wouldn’t do such a small job. But David said “No problem”! They were prompt, experienced, courteous and cleaned up everything before they left. I find this to be a sign of a company that has respect and pride for not only the work they’re doing, but respect for the people they are working for.
